boss of rtitb to speak at flta safety conference

Laura Nelson RTITB MDLaura Nelson, Managing Director of RTITB, has been announced as a speaker at the FLTA Safety Conference on 20th September, held at the Heart of England Events and Conference Centre.

FLTA’s National Fork Lift Safety Conference, which is sponsored by Jungheinrich UK, hosts presentations from organisations who have workplace safety at the forefront, and who have successfully identified innovative ways to overcome the issues that employers face.

This year’s theme is ‘Managing fork lift safety in changing times’, and will see presenters examine the subject of change from a variety of angles including high staff turnover and changing processes, to lower training budgets and reduced employee morale.

Laura will deliver a speech on the importance of proper pre-use inspections, ‘Appearance isn’t everything’. Laura’s discussion will take a look at the percentage of operators, as recorded by RTITB, who cannot carry out and record a sufficient pre-use inspection and the typical incidents and quick judgments which are often made within the workplace as a result of a lack of knowledge. The discussion will also look at the darker side of improper pre-use inspections and the devastating consequences which can occur as a result. To see Laura at this event, book you’re your place via the FLTA website now.
