Emergency braking with a forklift truck
Forklift trucks can also turnover due to excessive emergency braking. Normally the forks or load carried close to the floor and in the event of the truck tipping over they would dig into the floor preventing a complete overturn. The truck, however, could turn over if the forks were raised during travel and in any case it is quite likely that the load would fall of the forks. Braking should be done smoothly and progressively.
