don't add human counterweight to a forklift

Anyone who has been on a forklift training course will tell you that no modifications should be carried out to a forklift truck to increase it's capacity. I have seen large lumps of metal placed and even welded to the truck's counterweight and many times I've seen people climbing onto the counterweight.

This lumps of metal add extra weight to the rear axle causing excessive wear and tear and the addition of humans is just plain stupid as this very short video shows. You can see how one guy was lucky not to be killed.
